A question for those of you who get out to a lot more and bigger shows than I do . . . I'm wondering where to get earplugs for my filly. She HATES the noise of the trailer, gets antsy, makes more noise, you get the idea. I think if I could find her ear plugs, she would do much better in the trailer. Any thoughts on this? Thanks very much

I've seen lots of hunter riders with these ear plugs made of yarn that look like pom poms with a loop to retrieve them. They work great and the horses don't seem to mind them once they are in place. Tack stores usually carry them.
Confinement, or restriction of movement of any kind, is contrary to the horse's nature - after all, he is a creature who is used to running free, moving at will and who equates restriction of any kind to danger.

Thank you! I've never seen them in any of the tack shops I've been in - incuding the big one in Libertyville, IL. And I've also never seen them in any of the catalogues I get. But then, this is the first I've had the need to look for them . . . . This filly is a project and a half. At least she's finally getting easier to catch since she gets jealous of her big brother!
