Gelding Named Yankee Blue « on: June 24, 2008, 07:02:00 PM » I was on an adoption web site, Habitat For Horses, and saw this gelding in their section of newly arrived horses.  Yankee Blue is a 1997, gray, 17.1 hand gelding.  They just received him in May.  Right now he is located in Green Cove Spring, FL.  They haven't decided what his adoption fee would be.  I sent them an e-mail asking if they had any other info on him.  Does anyone know this horse or know of him? Re: Gelding Named Yankee Blue « Reply #1 on: June 26, 2008, 10:14:25 AM » I just received an update on Yankee Blue:   ....this poor guy could not even walk straight....his one shoulder was 2 inches lower than the other...the farrier has placed a shoe on the low one and evened him out...he was very out of wack so to speak.  We are working him slowly, trying to get him straightened out so I think he will be in rehab awhile longer..... i wish I had a farm.  I know this guy has picked the wrong economic time to need a home.  I e-mailed the ATA office to see if they have anything on him, but haven't heard anything yet.
