I’m sure you all received the email from USEF on the farm bill about including the horse industry in the tax codes and catastrophic relief. Don’t forget to email your senators and congressmen asking that the horse industry be allowed the same relief as other farmers.
If I heard the news correctly, there were 222 horses killed in the tornadoes through Arkansas. As the law currently stands, if any of those were breeders, they are allowed no relief, low cost loans, etc. that are available to the cattle, hog and chicken industries.

Thank you, Eileen. It's so hard to keep up with all the crap that goes through the congress . . . . Most of it seems to slide through and then come to light after it's too late to have any say. I've got a whole list of stuff to go over with our village idiot congressman - I'll add this horse issue to it.
