Go to the ATA site: www.americantrakehner.com there will be a link to the stallion auction that is going on until sometime in Feb (forget the exact date sorry!). I would assume that you can bid on a stallion from AU, but it would depend on if the stallion has frozen, if they can ship to AU, etc... that would be something to work out in advance with the SO (I would call or email them to verify).

SSA ends February 15th. Definitely check w/stallion owners to see if they have frozen semen capable of shipping to AU. Good luck!

Good idea. I haven't decided yet to breed my mare this year or not (OK, actually I haven't talked my wife into it yet). I know, better decide soon! But just wanted to say that her 2007 filly by Tycoon exceeds my expectations (which were high). Tycoon is promoted as a stallion that will nick with any mare type. My mare is half Arab and the result is a very modern, yet very TK filly. In fact, you'd never guess she was quarter Arab if she didn't occasionlly throw her tail over her hip when she plays (actually an Arab/X-arab breeder friend tells me that QHs learn this trick when they hang out with Arabs). Smart, correct, and fun to be with. Tycoon is a worthy heir of Onassis' legacy. Blessings, Steve +

The two Polarpunkt sons: Ichi Ban and Glenn Livit should receive careful consideration by mare owners looking for improved frame, movement & rideability.
There are others I'll address in future posts, but in the spirit of brevity, wanted to start with these, as I own a Polarpunt daughter, so I'm VERY familiar w/the line.
Polarpunkt has 8 approved sons, including 2002 Siegerhengst, Elfengeist and the 2007-approved Showtime, an International GP dressage stallion under Leone Bramel and full brother to our mare, Pr.St. Schoene Symphonie.
Frame, neck sets, athleticism and movement are hallmarks of Polarpunkts (no wonder with Arogno as a sire & Habicht as dam's sire). Attached jpgs of Polarpunkt, daughter Schoene Symphonie and son Elfengeist (both pictured as 3yos) demonstrate the prepotency of frame. Elfengeist demonstrates an trot for a 3yo, and a canter photo of Symphonie (with Maren up!) will illustrate the incredible sit these horses have.

Symphonie & Maren - talk about reaching under @ the canter! Great illustration of the movement Polarpunkt passes on to his offspring (and we see it in Sym's foals as well).

There are some amazing performance-proven stallions still w/o minimum bids:
1. Arlington II - Inter. I scores to 65%, the incomparable Rauhe (dam of both Ravel & E.H. Rockefeller) in his 2nd generation and foundation sire Abglanz in his 4th (ask the Hanoverians how important this stallion was: Abglanz -> Absatz -> Argentan -> Argentinus)
2. Domritter - also carries Abglanz in the 4th generation, and again this performance blood identified itself in an exceptional competition record. Domritter was a 2-time Casar Memorial Cup winner (given to the TK stallion with highest score in combined training).
3. Fandango - winning 2nd Level Championships in CA (not an easy dressage mkt to win in!) as a 6yo, he has also won in Eventing up to the Preliminary level. Also the only ATA-approved son of the legendary E.H. Sixtus.
4. Favian *Ps* - Inter I scores over 60%, rare & valuable bloodlines an enthusiastic, new owner and incredible gentleman whom I had the pleasure of meeting @ this year's ATA Convention. What a guy!
More later!!

I seriously considered purchasing Ichi Ban when he was for sale years ago. Loved his frame and neck set. I'd love to put Kovington to an Ichi Ban mare.....
I was very impressed with the stallions Magritte and Favian *Ps* at the ATA convention. Both were lovely in the flesh and absolute quality stallions. Favian *Ps* has a new owner who is a super person and will be a great SO to work with.
Hadrian has produced some quality mares - he's a very good producer.
Tagaelan - another fantastic SO and a performance stallion. His owner is keeping him in the competition arena, and he has done great things at top shows.
OH - I was truly impressed with Malachi at the convention. That grand gentleman was ridden by a young rider and what a grand man he was! He looked amazing for his age and his gaits were still light as a feather. He is most certainly one to consider - he is gorgeous, sound, moves beautifully and has a most wonderful temperament at the age of 18. For him to travel that distance and perform without a hitch is a testament to this breed. I must say, I was impressed.
Arlington, Domritter, Guy Laroche, Hadrian, Magritte, Malachi, Marquee, Tribute, Troy are all getting up there in age. Please take advantage of their participation in this auction!

If you like the Arogno/Habicht cross that produced Polarpunkt, don't overlook Radscha. And you're right, nobody'll treat you better than Mae Jean. Steve +

Sure wish I could afford to breed again. I've had my eye on Ichi Ban for some time and loved Magritte when I saw him. Alas, finances keep getting in the way.

Thanks Elfe, you're correct about the terms.
I guess best bet is talk to the stallion owner before bidding; most would be accomodating if the mare had a problematic delivery and MO didn't have another suitable mare to breed.
