Thought some of you would like to know that Quillin Leather and Tack is having a 99cent shipping special right now. If you haven't ever looked at Quillin's website, you should. They've got some really nice quality halters in all sizes and combinations (you customize it) all the way down to engraved name plates. They've got show halters ("sale halters") and turnout halters which are very nice themselves. I had my two foals inspected in turnout halters this year and I thought they looked pretty darn good considering they were just turnout halters. The other thing I like about Quillin is that your halters come pre-oiled and ready to use. Love that! I went ahead and bought next year's show halters for this year's babies.
Matching leather leads/shanks, and the Newmarket Shank which has quick release snaps you attach to either side of the bit - very handy for inspections and it looks nice.
They've also got some nice leather gift ideas which you might want to check out since it is the holiday season. Their website says the special ends December 1st but they sent an email out extending it to December 2nd.
