Anyone know of or about this Rescue Operation?
« on: July 31, 2007, 10:50:13 PM »

JD Acres Horse Rescue has an ad on another forum for a TK-branded gelding for adoption.  We lost our 34 yr. old Paso Fino 'babysitter' 2 months ago, and have considered bringing on a new one.

They're advertising a 17.1h TK branded gelding "Jusified" who is suitable for a pasture pal.  Not sure if this size would scare weanlings, but first wondered if anyone knew of this operation and if it's reputable.

I checked their website and they seem to be thorough with screening people.

Confinement, or restriction of movement of any kind, is contrary to the horse's nature - after all, he is a creature who is used to running free, moving at will and who equates restriction of any kind to danger.

Just a word of warning:  When I tried to open this website my computer browser (Earthlink) threw up a scam warning.  I am not saying this is a scam - just be careful!

Just to put in a shameless plug for the Secondwind Adoption Program - they have several lovely horses available right now and some are free to a good home, no TKs though.  I got my boy through them and they are very good.

Website is www.crossedsabers.com and click on horses available.

Best,
Jane

Oh! I hope my computer didn't get any viruses? but I never got a warning and I have an anti-spam/virus program running. In case there is something not right with the website I posted in this thread about the adoption JDacres - do not open link!
Sorry about that! Maybe there is something strange about that adoption place???
