Last weekend was Manny's first show. Trainer entered him in Training Level - 4, which I thought quite ambitious since he's been under saddle less than 90 days.
He did not get a ribbon, but it's end of show season, so many 1st level horses dropped down to Training/4 to qualify for regionals, but scored a more than respectable 66.400 (7th) on day 1 and a 58.40 (8th) on day 2.
It's a real feeling of accomplishment to watch your very first foal come down centerline!

Thanks to all; it's a real feeling of accomplishment when your first one finally steps into the show ring carrying a rider. (Terri, your turn's coming up!)
Stacey, I'm bringing all 3 to San Antonio for the Alamo Dressage Classic in about 8 wks. . . get those margaritas ready!

Luckily, P none of the big kids 'knocked him down and took his lunch money' his first day of school (though he was the youngest kid in the class!). However, stay posted - we may yet need the services of Bond James Bond in San Antonio . . . plenty more big kids down there!
I can't tell you how fast I popped a beer after final "x, halt, salute"!. Wasn't ever that nervous watching Taz (well, maybe his dressage - which he agreed to do only because it came before jumping).
