I LOVE Trakehners!

I can't believe my little man is 4 today, my how time flies. He is such a big boy now and we have set about our task of changing the preconceived notions people seem to have about Trakehners. He's an absolute doll, very kind and gives 150%. He is such a pleaser and loves to hear the words "good boy". My vet, who is not a fan of Trakehners, actually said he was one of the nicest and easy going Trakehners, ESPECIALLY given his age, he has met. Frodo is doing very well under saddle, my trainer loves him and I am thrilled to be working with him. At the end of the month, I will be moving Frodo to my trainer's barn where we will have access to an indoor for more steady training. We have no major show goals this year as of yet, I am taking the "wait and see" approach. I am very competitive and if I set a show goal too soon, I tend to put too much pressure on myself and in turn, my horse. In training, he takes every new learning situation I throw at him as though he's done it before.
Hopefully sometime this week I can get some pics up of him. My digital camera broke and I have to go buy a disposable. I will post his 4 year old pics asap.

I'm happy to hear Frodo is out there being a good-will ambassador for Trakehners. Am anxious to see how your boy has grown. Have you decided which way you are going to take him?

I know...doesn't it fly?
My Alex (Avant Garde) is 6 this year and Katy (Itaka) is 3 this year. Both by Advocate.
Alex and I are showing 2' Green Horse and Intro A/B / Training Level this year. He is such a fast learner, we might even try Training 4 Qualifier since I am going to regionals anyway.
Katy is showing inhand for the futurity this year and her first show is April 27. WOW, time flies.
