Maifeuer

I have a anglo-trakehner mare by Maifeuer (who I know is deceased). Was wondering if anyone knows about him? I've had a hard time finding details-- is his line known for dressage or jumping? Conformation or temperament?
Thanks!

Hi Elkene, and welcome aboard!
The most information I have seen on Maifeuer is at his page on the ATA site, http://americantrakehner.com/Stallions/Inactive/Maifeuer.asp.
Bred in Germany, he was a very attractive son of Vincent, who I knew briefly in his retirement. Vincent's kids were reputed to be "hot," but I have never actually met any. Vincent himself was in every respect a breeding stallion, though after his unfortunate loss of fertility he was gelded and was very enjoyable to ride, even by a novice like me. One of the last sons of Ibikus and out of the Impuls daughter, Victoria, and a 3/4 sibling to Kaprizioese, the dam of Kaspareit, Vincent helped convince me of the greatness of the Ibikus-Impuls nick. (8 Kaspareit foals later, I am still thoroughly convinced! ).
Maifeuer's dam's sire is Donauwind, who has become nothing less than legendary, particularly through his son Abdullah.
Hopefully someone--perhaps Maren or Erhard--can help fill in more information.

Thanks for the info -- I can believe the "Hot" part! My mare has been good for me as an adult amy dressage rider, but there are some days she is just a !#$%@ !!
We also evented a little and she really liked that-- maybe the Donauwind side peeking through!
I'm hoping the Maren or Erhard will post too!

Hi Elkene! Another ATA member also has a Maifeuer daughter and she is quite knowledgeable about bloodlines. Her name is Mardie Biederman-Hay. You can reach her by e-mail @ mardiehay@aol.com
Good luck!

Hi from Kentucky, Kim and All! I have a six year old daughter out of Mardie's Maifeuer mare - actually, I think Renee has her now. Can't say enough about her conformation & presence-she has the "I'm here now; the party can start" attitude! After her foal is born next year she'll go on to third level. No hotness here - a real workaholic.

I have a son of Maifeuer and I ADORE him!!! He is quite the red head (read hot, sensitive, and SMART). He was fantastic in dressage and I bet he could have jumped very well when he was younger. He is retired now and I would give anything to have a younger clone of him. If anyone has a Maifeuer descendant for sale I would love to know about it!!!
