TANZBRISE by Windfall out of Tariana

I hate to steal his thunder, but I can't help being the proud great-great-great-(great?)-grandma and we are still MONTHS away from having any foals here, so I just have to announce this celebrated arrival!
Holger called this morning and finally just sent photos of the newest set of Trakehner legs in the Tannenwald circle, a gorgeous colt by Cadeau out of Tanzdiva by Impressionist!
Thanks to Holger for giving our Diva such a wonderful life, and to TSI as agents of Cadeau.
I can't believe our Diva-Wee-Morsel now has her own!

HIP HIP HOORAY!!! What a beautiful baby! Can't wait to see him unfolded and running around! So glad mom and son are doing well - I've been waiting to see this one almost as excitedly as I'm waiting for MINE to be born!

Yes Mom was a maiden mare. But she's doing a great job. Amazing how these instincts set in right away. Mom is definitely one of those horses
that come around only once in a lifetime. and seeing her with the foal I definitely will breed her again this year.

Congratulations to Diva and Holger and grandma Ingrid. Seems like just yesterday Diva was loaded onto the trailer to the West Coast, and now her she is a proud new mommy!
And what a nice baby boy!

Hey Auntie Maren:
yes I was tired. He had just come out when we arrived. Which was shortly after midnight. Missed it by mere seconds. Since he didn't latch on for more than four hours and Diva was getting really uncomfortable, I started milking her and bottle feed him. 24 hours later we finally tricked him and he understood that it would be a good idea to turn his head instead of being rained on the face. Second day he had gained already 3 pounds.

That is a beautiful picture of Diva and her son walking under the trees, so calming. Those pictures of the little fellow does look like he has everything together and is really enjoying life! You are really good with a camera.
