Not sure if there are any others that live in my corner of the US but we got SLAMMED with snow  Shocked

Over a foot of snow with unbelievable drifts. Feeding the herd last night was nasty with blizzard conditions and snowing sideways.
In this picture I'm going to share keep in mind I'm 5'7" and standing.

Well, you are sure are earning your "gold stars".  Colorado can be so beautiful, but, Yikes!  All that snow, and now's not the time to start a diet.  Shocked  Just don't get lost in all that snow!

Too funny!  And only yesterday I was telling someone I really miss the Colorado winters because I so hate the ICE in Maine!

Y'know, it'll probably be gone in a week or so (depending on where you are, of course.)  Roll Eyes

Still stuck - on one of those county roads that will get plowed right around the same time it melts. Going to try and get out today.
Airport is still closed suppose to open today.
Mail also is suppose to show up for the first time in 2 days.
It's been pretty peaceful the last two days and since I'm a software person I can work from home without interruption. Bit of a pain to care for the horses but all in all doable. The winter wheat farmers are celebrating after several years of no mositure this will certainly help them and the rest of us rural types are happy for any mositure on the front range. As Joy mentioned it will not stay all winter but since we are looking at a couple of days in the 30's looks like it may stay around longer then usual and we will have a white christmas.

StarryNight, I'm thinking about you as you're supposed to get dumped on again sometime today.  Hope it's not as bad as last time.  I'm saying a little prayer for you and your horses.  Try to stay warm!

Snowed last night (8") - not snowing at the moment but the weather reports have more coming very soon. Blizzard conditions expected and maybe up to 20" more  Shocked

This all on top of what still had not melted (maybe a packed 8")

Thankful that the power is on and the horses are weathering the storm well.
At this rate don' know if I'll be able to ride again till May  Sad

Whooeey!  What a way to end the drought!  Tongue

At least it's powder--not that it isn't as deep--but I'm sure you have a tractor and grader, right?  And just think of all the cross-country skiing you can do..between the house and the barn. Grin
