There's been an interesting thread in COTH re a scammer.

I was looking at a thread in a different forum and asked a friend in the same state if she knew the woman. She sounded legit. My friend said EEEEEK.

You cannot be too careful. We make connections so easily over the internet and are very trusting. Please, please get references, and not just from the buddies of these people.
