Hi Everyone, Wanted to let you know that Horalas’s first baby in North America arrived late Friday night! Sue Pitzer in PA said it was OK to pass along her news. Am sending a compilation of several emails we’ve exchanged since Saturday …
“ Jim & Diane: Fine Art presented us with a beautiful bay filly with a large, wedge shaped star on her forehead last night; about 11:30 EDT. The filly is very strong and is already up on her pasterns; legs all seem to be correct; very nice conformation; very nice size. She is just what we ordered. Will send pictures as soon as we get some this afternoon; Right now mom is a little nervous about strange noises, etc so plan on pictures when it is a little more appropriate from mom's point of view.”
“I think she is going to be Franceska but not sure; she will belong to my young jumper rider who is VERY excited about her. This filly will definitely be seen in the jumper ring when she's old enough. The mare is being a bit protective right now so it has been difficult to get pictures. She will settle down in a few days and we will get some. Also I have a good friend who is a professional photographer and she plans to come back in a week and take some pictures that we will probably submit to the ATA as well as Hunter and Sport Horse. “ “The filly is very strong and is now completely up on all four pasterns; she is not huge but is very typey and legs appear to be very correct. All in all, she is a super nice baby. You will be as proud of her as we are, I’m sure. Will send pictures as soon as we can get them.
Please feel free to pass along the emails to whomever is interested. This is a really nice filly. She is, by the way, the daughter and granddaughter of Grand Prix jumpers. Her mother showed a lot of promise but was seriously injured in a pasture accident and was never shown. We have a lot of excitement around her for her future.” We will forward pictures as soon as we get them. An ATA approved Thoroughbred mare is due to foal any day now in Wisconsin. Will send her news as soon as we hear.

The COH article says that Horalas is a gelding!!! Please tell me it isn't so.... I have him in mind for my yearling filly by Fandango out of Joanna by Enrico Caruso. But we have to let her grow up first!!!!!!

The COH article is wrong. Henry is still very much a stallion. We were surprised that they didn't do a better job checking their facts.

And these are easy 'facts' to check . . . it's not difficult to tell the difference between a stallion & a gelding!

Congratulations. This is a super stallion that is making a name in the jumper ring for the Trakehners (with others following!). The Rushings are incredible people and what a story they have about their beloved Henry. I hope to see many more foals from this sire.
