A LOVELY AND "HAPPY" COLT!

Congratulations for the second time to Jeanie Flores from California on the arrival of another super "Happy" foal. The year before last, Jeanie was fortunate enough to get a fabulous filly, and this time, a lovely and very leggy colt. I've attached a couple of pics of this fine young fellow at only 6 hours of age. WOW, I'm still amazed when I see these little creatures - truly a miracle! I'm sure he will unfold and develop a great deal over the coming weeks, so we hope to get more pics soon. Congratulations to everyone on their 2006 babies!

Wow Renee, he is a handsome, leggy one!
I couldn't get over how much he looks
like the filly we just had here, then I
remembered that the reason we can't breed
to Happy Hour is that our mare is too closely
related! So, the similarity makes sense! Our
mare is out of an Erzsand daughter too, so ---no
matter how much I love Happy Hour...just couldn't
breed to him. You should check out the face marking
on your beautiful boy, and Faith's, it is nearly identical...
What type of face marking did Flugsand have, I wonder?
I don't have any face photos of him...
I will email a picture of her face marking....the similarity is amazing!!

Hi: I forgot you had the Erzsand granddaughter - she is lovely! And yes, another leggy kid. We have a 3-year old colt by Happy and we just put the stick on him again, and he's 16.2 - and a tad taller in the butt right now Wink

. His mom was 15.3.

From what I can see, Flugsand was a Chestnut (born in '59) with two rear white socks. From the photo on our website, it's a conformation photo -- so I can't see the front marking on his face -- probably the same! Wink
