We have a new colt!

Our beautiful Anglo-Trak mare Amsellied (by Saxon) gave birth two nights ago to a huge black colt by our 16 hh Arab Sporthorse stallion KG Advocate!  He is everything we could have hoped for.  Both are doing very well and I am almost giddy to report that I finally had a full nights sleep after 2 months of averaging 3 hours sleep while watching all of our mares at night.  A few more nights of this and I just might feel human again (or close to it)!   Wink

The pics below were taken when he was about 14 hours old.

Thank you everybody!

He is our last of the season.  I am so tempted to breed her back to Advocate again.  I just love how this cross turned out.  Here are a couple of pics taken just this morning.  He really is such a sweetie pie!  Kiss

What a nice colt!  Congratulations!  And it's sure hard to photograph black horses, isn't it?  (And black dogs, too.)
