Karino's Fire ~ First foal of 2006

Just had to share this photo of Karino's Fire first foal of 2006:
Karino's Fire x Contata

He is the first colt by Karino's Fire.   This cute little colt will be gelded, is destined for a dressage career. Wink    Will post more photos later, he is only a few hours old here.  Very sweet colt.  Mom is doing great and loving her new baby boy!!!

We were excited about this foal, and the combination of the bloodlines.

Congratulations!  The man in the pictures must be very tall, my first impression was that the colt looked small, but with a 17.2 hh dam that is pretty high near impossible, huh?

Thanks, Ingrid.  His odd white face painting made his owners estatic, it was like the icing on the cake for them, as the mare carries no white, and they were hoping for a little flash~ Wink  Love your Golden child, by the way, especially out of that mare...she is my favorite

thanks Jennifer, we have certainly noticed that he is producing refined heads, long necks, balanced bodies, and foals whose size takes after the dam.   Karino's Fire seems to also have an impact on the foals having color, as the mares he has bred so far have minimal color, and yet babies come out with some *flash* to them.  We are so happy with how he is producing.  Thanks again for taking time to look at the leggy fellow...I can hardly wait to drive over and see him at three weeks of age...
