I LOVE Trakehners!

My husband is thinking of breeding his 14.2 mustang mare since she is getting into her mid teens. I told him that he should either breed her to a fabulous pony to get a salable child's mount or an Andalusian and get a nice mount for him in later years.
He chose the latter. Breeding goals are to shorten her modestly long back, improve the neck connection and keep her Andalusian like trot. She is a spanish mustang and you can see the influence at liberty. So here is the boy (Regaliz) that we are thinking of.... Any thoughts?

Not sure if we will do this later this yaer or next, but looking for feedback.

Based on the mustangs I have seen from a variety of different western states, I would think it to be a cross with a lot of potential. They have ranged from small and almost Hackney-ish to something (from Montana) that may have some draft blood, but all of them (if they were all mares) would cross well to the kind of horse you're looking at.
