I have sold a 3 yr old filly to California.  Any suggestions for haulers from Idaho to California?  Anyone going that way that would like someone to pay gas?  She is an easy loader and rides quietly. Grin

Cindy, if you can't get a private person, the best haulers I've used are Nationwide Transport out of Colorado Springs, Colorado--NOT to be confused with All State Horse Transport, who I would never use again.

Isn't the buyer taking care of the transport, though?

Bob Hubbard is very good, based in SoCal.

You could see if they are circling north and heading back to CA.

Thanks for the suggestions.  This buyer is new to Trakehners, so I thought I would give her a hand and see if we can hook her up with someone looking to share a ride.

Cindy -

If you don't find a ride for your girl, here is who I would recommend.

I have had great experience w/ Bob Hubbard and they run North and South very frequently, have great drivers and are quite reasonable. They have regular "routes", and might pick up your filly with a small rig and transfer her over to a larger semi at a predetermined layout site. My mare, coming across country, transferred twice: Pueblo Colorado and LA. The driver kept in cell phone contact with me the entire time. There is a website where you can get the #.

I recently used, for a shorter haul, Rockridge Farm, owned by Aaron Reed, here in CA. I was very very impressed with them, their equipment.  We traveled with a 6 horse Jamco -- lots of room, the driver knew how to handle horses, and I traveled in the truck with the driver (that was after I blew up my truck on the 210 in Pasadena....but that's a whole OTHER story!)Rockridge regularly hauls horses between shows both here on the West Coast, and to Texas, Virginia, etc.  Their office # is 760 471-6912.  You could see if they will be by your way in the near future in you aren't on a tight time schedule.
