Born this afternoon to proud owners Debra Tyler and Ann Lord of Tylord Farms by Cosmopolit out of Lida by Enrico Caruso!!! One of only two foals conceived before his tragic loss in the fire last summer and the only foal by Cosmo for Tylord!
When the announcement came via email, I almost SCREAMED! After all of her pain at the loss of her beloved stallions and the recent loss of Ivee by Unkenruf out of Inga by Radom it is nice to relate some terrific and joyful news for Tylord Farms.

What wonderful news. Can't think of anyone who deserves some good news more than these two. Ditto on the pix!

That's wonderful! YEA! Another pinto Trakehner in the U.S. I sure hope he turns out to be stallion material!

Just makes your heart sing after all the bad fortune they have had this past year. I second the hope that he is stallion materiel!

Congrats to Tylord on the birth of this exciting colt and also the approval of their Enrico Caruso son in Germany! What an exciting week for the family!

Finally... Pictures. Debra asked me to post this as her computer will not upload for some reason.
Also, to the question above regarding Little Cosmo's dam... The mare is Lida by Enrico Caruso out of Lonka by Heros. She was Lonka's last foal and an embryo transfer done eyras ago at Tylord. Lonka was also the dam of Laiken and Litchen. Laiken was Tylord's foundation stallion and Litchen was the dam of Lilly of the Valley by Unkenruf who produced the newly approved stallion Lord Luciano.

He is definitely a cutie pie. White does make those legs look even longer.
Congrats all around -- both on the new baby and the new approval. Well deserved!

No, "Lord Cosmo" will not turn grey. Lida has had 6 foals and all but one have been solid colored horses with a lot of white. Her dam Lonka foaled 5 solid horses and 3 grey horses in her breeding career. Lida's 1/2 sister Litchen had 6 solid foals and 2 greys. Litchen's last daughter Lola by Unkenruf is chestnut just like her full sister Lily of the Valley. The twin brother Levi was one of the greys. I have been dabbling with colored Trk's for 12 years now, with a lot of disappointing solid foals. They were very nice foals but the wrong color. I have an anglo-Trk Tovero stallion by Unkenruf named Braveheart, a 3/4 Trk daughter by Brave out of a Laiken daughter that is a Splash White with two blue eyes and now a full Trk in Lord Cosmo. The chances of us getting this particular colored colt by a homozygous pinto father and a grey mother are greater than winning the lottery! We are truly blessed that when God closed the door he opened a window. Cosmopolit will get to live on through his only colored son. Tina Potter's mare Indira delivered the only other foal that Cosmopolit sired. He is a beautiful chestnut colt with a lot of white!
