Tahary vom Castell (Avignon II) foaled a beautiful black colt by Michelangelo last night.  Mother and son are doing well, and Rejan and Justin are resting after a long night.  Congratulations for yet another lovely foal out of this farm.

So it's bay fillies and black colts that are on course for this year?

Congratulations!

Thanks for the kind words!  We are so thrilled with this colt -- and I included a photo below with his great momma peering through his ears.  But really it would be an injustice to our terrific broodmare, Tahary vom Castell, to suggest that any of her other 4 foals are less deserving of the announcement -- we just never got around to posting their photos!  This little guy is Tahary's 5th foal -- the first by Harper is Tamarin, the ATA #2 mare for dressage sport horse breeding and 13th nationally in yeld mares DSHB last year.  Her next two are geldings both by Kostolany and embarking on their under saddle careers, with many announcements to come from them, I hope.  The fourth was another filly by Kovington, who will debut in the breed shows this summer.  And now this little "work of art" by Michelangelo.  I am always so impressed by Tahary that I seized this opportunity to blow her horn.  She is a calm, composed grand lady that we are so honored to have in our barn.  Three cheers to all our great broodmares that keep blessing us with these great fillies and colts!

I should note that Tamarin was produced before we owned Tahary -- but we are just as proud of her for that accomplishment  Wink

Congratulations! That photo is too cool, the way the markings line up! I remember seeing Tahary at the ATA convention when Judy Yancey bought her, and her breeder remarked that she was one of the last of her line. Wonderful that she is such a good mama in a good home!
