I can only comment on what I saw in NMS and that was pretty spectacular. To prove the stallion's ridability, his rider Stefan Peters decided to show a Grand Prix freestyle on a plain snaffle, instead of double bridle. The horse is older, so lacking a little of the suppleness expected, but VERY talented for piaffe and passage and obviously enjoying his work. Very smart, totally well behaved, good size and bone. He has an impressive show record at international Grand Prix dressage, including the WEG in Jerez in 2002 for Austria. He is a little plain in type, but has excellent hooves and a natural talent for collection. Very attractive mover. I was most impressed by him.

I LOVE Trakehners!

Couldn't agree with Maren more...
I know he has had one foal, from a Weltmeyer mare - of which I should get to see a video in a couple of weeks - but as this is his first approval, I think that is the only foal so far.
I really, really like him. He is ranked 39th in the world for dressage. I'm also lucky enough to have seen him "at home" and he is a really lovely person. Stefan rides him in a snaffle almost all the time and even when he gets nervous, still tries really hard to please. I wondered if he was a fraction long in the back, but personally really like his overall frame - long legs, slim athletic build and very well set on neck.
He is my hot favourite for one of my mares next year - the foal could have a very intersting pedigree - 50% TB blood, 25% russian trak and 25% very old german trak blood.

Karim: Garpun is Arcatenago's "real" name, if I remember correctly.
