After a very trying summer of, well, TRYING, battling weird weather, weird vets, and competition schedules, I am THRILLED to announce that we are expecting

TWO WINDFOALS in 2003!!!!!


Tara vom Castell (Avignon-Ricardo-Prince Conde'), our foundation mare,

and her daughter,

Tariana (Graditz-Avignon-Ricardo)


were both confirmed in foal this morning to the incomparable WINDFALL!  Ironically, both girls finally settled on a split shipment, with one bred post-ovulation and the other approximately 2 days pre-ovulation. I guess the time was right....

Thanks to all of you who have shared our tribulations this season--Heather, Gay, Maren, Tim, and anyone else I am forgetting.  And of course, Terri, who knows what impact your fertility dances made!

Congrats! What great news!  We are all looking forward to seeing these Windfall babies - they should be such a great addition to the gene pool in the US!
