Awwww . . . it's great to see little ones thrive when they have to find substitute mommies. What a great nursemare (what did Puppy think of all those spots?) and keep us posted on his progress.
I second it. It is wonderful to see the little ones survive and be happy that are orphaned. It looks like he is doing great and enjoying his life fully!
We are SOOOO happy for Avery that Henceforth (a/k/a/ "Puppy") is doing so well -- thanks to so much TLC from particularly Avery and others. Puppy is going to continue to mature into a lovely, stunning fellow and I bet he's going to grow like a weed now! We're very proud of this super young fellow and wish Puppy and Avery nothing but great health, happiness, success and lots of fun!

It's kind funny that you ask that. A strange horse of any color walking into his stall and nuzzling him like she knew him was weird to him (that blanket he's wearing was her baby's and was use to trick her). He tried to get away from her and hide behind me. I had to leave the barn he until figured out how to nurse on her. But some of the other horses at the barn were truly freaked out when they saw her. They snorted and spooked. She could have been a leopard. Eventually they grew used to her, but the way they continued to treat her, I now honestly think that horses can be racists. Puppy hasn't seem any spots like those since she went home. I'm curious if one day we'll see an Appy/Knabstrupper at a show and he'll "recognize" the spots.
