When best to stop jumping the pregnant mare
« on: October 08, 2002, 12:48:09 PM »

My mare is 5 going on 6 months along and is beginning to get the full in the flank look.  We have been jumping up to three feet.  How long is it safe to continue doing so, just for schooling purposes?

When my friends bred thier little pony jumper they stoped jumping her when she hit 5months because she got so big.. I think around 5-6 is when you should stop and about 7months stop riding(unless its light walking on the trails typ stuff then that can go till about 8 i'm pretty sure)
