I spoke with a few people at the Convention about Kartacz (Charbin xx X Aretina) who is the sire of one of my broodmares.  I've never been able to find anything much about him.  I contacted the Polish State Stud and learned that he had been evented there a bit before being imported.  I think that our language barrier prevented them from going into much detail when responding to my email.

I've never been able to find a photo of him and the info on the ATA site is limited.  http://americantrakehner.com/Stallions/Inactive/Kartacz.asp  He does have a few offspring that are NATA or ATA registered but they do not currently show up on the ATA site but did at some time in the past.  I'd really like to more about him. 

I was told by the breeder of my mare that the last owner had hit hard times and was unable to feed her horses but didn't tell anyone until it was too late.  He and other horses were lost.  I do not know if this is true and I certainly don't want to put the last owner in a poor light.   I only mention it in case it sparks someone memory.

Does anyone know anything about him?  Any photos?  Anything known about his pedigree?  It's just a big hole in what I know about my horse's breeding.  TIA for any help you might be able to give.

I'll bet Maren can assist.  She's out of town (away fm computer) thru the Holiday weekend, so don't worry if you don't hear anything 'till Monday/Tuesday.
