Wanted to share; we brought home Baily Zippo last night, have always wanted a paint mare for Shadrach, now we have one. She is so quiet and sweet, looking forward to seeing the foal produced from these two, as she has very good lines. Lot of TB (Three Bars) and foundation lines, I know, not a Trakehner, though...she is best buddies with our Trakehner mare..

Three Bars? Is she TB or QH? Either way, such a pretty mare. Best of luck. Blessings, Steve+

Steve, she is from Paint lines of Gypsy Discount , TB and Zippo Pine Bar (QH). She has had a rough time, from what I understand, being ridden into the ground by some over zealous children, who's saddle did not fit her. Kind of the four wheeler syndrome, I'm afraid. She will need some corrective shoeing for low heels-(seems to be an epidemic of farriers trimming heels low lately), chiro and massage for her back (poor saddle fit) and some other tlc, though she is so completely kind/quiet, has produced color, has great paint bloodlines, and has a correct conformation. Here is a picture of her breaking in some new pasture with our Horizon mare. I love a little splash of color in the pasture. She is going to be a great 'foster' horse for our foster children too, we are expecting a 15 y.o. young man to be placed in our home after 2pm today. He has shown interest in horses, maybe Baily can help turn his life around for the better. That is what good horses do. ;)They change our lives, forever

Nice bloodlines on your new mare, and you're right...a splash of color in the pasture is always welcome.
If you can find an Equine Touch or Equine Bowen practitioner near you, I think you'd be both pleased and amazed at the results. Bowen therapy seems to "hold" corrections better than either massage or chiropractic. It's hard to find a practitioner...there's not too many of us around...but if you're interested, I can try to find one in your area.
