Suzette, I'm glad to hear that you had such a positive experience at the Elgin Inspection!  Were any stallions approved at that location?

Who all will be going to the ATA annual meeting in Florida?  I will be there with my friend Aerron.  I'd love to know who I'm going to meet this year!  Last year was lots of fun and we are now making it a "tradition" to attend, no matter where the meeting is!

Three stallion prospects showed up for the Elgin inspection.  One was withdrawn due to a non-dissended testicle.  Neither of the other two were approved.  There was an Abdullah/Poprad colt (wow, what jumping genes!) that I was hoping would be better than he was.  I think I would have waited another year before presenting him, as he may turn out to be something more impressive if he were a bit older.  The other was a hunter-type Advocate son.
There was a large number of mares (13?) which were mostly Trak with a few TB's and I think only one Arab.  I believe that all were accepted.

I would LOVE to be able to attend the meeting in Florida. But once again, it is highly unlikely due to the fact that it gets spread out over too many days - and I can't be away that long.  Someday, maybe they will figure out how to condense it into a weekend so that more people can attend. Grin
