Most of us are very good about the non-advertising aspect, but there have been some abuses with which I am not comfortable. Announce your arrivals, talk about your stallions, link to your site occasionally, etc, and certainly give your contact info in your profile, but please refrain from utilizing signatures as constant advertising vehicles listing all of your various businesses and every possible manner of contact short of carrier pigeon. All of that kind of information overload would get awfully old if everyone were to do it. It takes up space on the board and most of the readers here do not really care to see it every time a post is made.
Signatures are there for a way to personalize your post, with a mention of your favorite horse, a quote, whatever.
Tannenwald Trakehner supports this site entirely--in hosting and maintenance--and even Tannenwald does not go bonzo on the advertising pitches! So everyone, please keep it reasonable.
Is there a desire for sponsored banner advertising on here? That would certainly help support this forum as it grows. If there was sufficient interest, Trakehner Treffpunkt could become a true meeting place and resource hub, with articles, classifieds, etc. Feedback is appreciated.
