We haven't had snow before Christmas in this part of TX for 15 yrs. Everyone's excited - especially the colts!
Herzmond (Tzigane x Hennie/Muenchhausen TSF) decided his pal Romulus (E.H. Gribaldi x Dutch mare) should take off his blanket & play in the snow w/the rest of the boys!

There was lots of snow in Houston as well but we were north of it. I am glad of that. We do not need any more moisture in the ground. Horses are sure cute in the snow though.

Love all the pics!!!!! Merry Christmas to all and All the Best in the New Year!!
Our horses are enjoying the Arkansas snow as well. It is beautiful although I must admit -- it reminds me why I'm not still in NE -- I've had enough of the cold temps and wind chills for this year. So far, we have water, thank goodness!! We do still give them "hot beet pulp soup" however and they do lap it up -- slurp, slurp, slurp!!
Our front yard and drive look like a used car lot with all the cars that didn't make the corner or couldn't make it up the hill. Anyone need another vehicle -- we could give you a really good deal -- what do you need 4 wheel drive, pickup, sportscar? -- as long as you don't need a pink slip!! -- Just kidding, besides, I think the last owner picked up his truck today. I think nearly all the houses on the street had at least one extra car parked in their yard. Kari's right --Arkansas has no snow removal equipment and most drivers here do not know how to drive in snow and ice.
