We have a new fund-raising project to support the forums here 
Video footage is available of the stallion inspections from the ATA annual meeting at Toronto. The liberty and free-jumping portions of 10 stallion candidates are included and the tape is 78 minutes long. The liberty footage was shot from the opposite side of the arena from where everyone was sitting, from behind the jury, to get a better view of the horses as they moved on the long wall of the arena. The free jump is taken from the end of the chute (with the horses approaching), as opposed to from the side. It is a bit harder to see bascule from this perspective but you do see more on straightness and balance in technique than from a side view.
The best way to understand what happens at inspections is to watch them, and video is the next best thing to being there!

I don't know where to put this, so I guess I will add it on here.

Ingrid,
Great idea ! I was there at the meeting and I'm still going
to order the DVD. I am sure that it will capture some of the
things that I missed. I was so cold (teeth chattering)during parts of the inspection that some of the fine points were
missed
