Life is Choices

Well, you know what the definition of a ranch or farm is don't you? It's a place where you dig a lot of holes and fill them up with money.
Aside form "Money Pit" or "Funny Farm", I too like the following -- in this order:
Katamount Trakehners Timberline Trakehners Wellspring Trakehners Triad Trakehners
Focus on what you really want to emphasize and it will come to you. Don't rush it -- it has to fit both the land and you!
For us, it was the location. We sorted through all kinds of indian names and historic names before we hit a simple one that was perfect for us and in English, not Yocut Indian or early pioneer.
We're in Three Rivers CA, foothills of the Sierras, with a large foothill, (small mountain) behind us and the North Fork of the Kaweah River below us. We now live on "River Ridge Ranch." Alliteration plus everyone can spell it, and it relfects the name of our nearby town. We put the word Trakehners in place of Ranch when appropriate, but the rest of the time we're simply River Ridge in Three Rivers.
