Trakehners Rule!

Region 9 Shows

Trakehners were well represented this weekend at the Region 9 sport horse breeders finals. 3 finished in the top 6, with Copernicus by Pyatt Charly (owned by Judy Ritchie) placing 2nd (he's an absolutely lovely yearling!!!), Phalanx by Stiletto (owned by Wayne & Eileen Krause) placing 4th, and Kosmisch by Happy Hour (who'd spent Friday night in intensive care at A&M after getting dehydrated) finishing 6th... Kosmisch also posted a great 3 yr old materiale class score of 77.1% to finish his year in contention for USDF Materiale HOY - Wish him luck!

Many more ribbons were also won over the 2 shows that preceded the championship. It was great to hear the announcers saying TRAKEHNER over and over again!!!

Thank you Kari for the nice comments about our boy Copernicus. We are very proud of him! If Kosmisch had been 100% we might not have done as well, since he is such a handsome boy. Congratulations on his great score in Materiale. We will keep our fingers crossed for the HOY for him.

Wow Kari: I did not realize the situation with Kosmisch! I've been out of touch lately. I'm very hopeful he had a very speedy and full recovery, and to go out and earn a 77.1 is absoutely phenomenal - especially after that! We are so very proud of Kosmisch and are so grateful to you and Johnny as you have taken great time, effort and dedication to get this fine young man out in competition for the world to see. He is an absolutely superb young fellow with immense talent, heart and a wonderful mind -- certainly destined for a great future. Please give extra hugs, kisses and carrots to Kosmisch (and all the kids). Very best wishes for great happiness and continued success with Kosmisch and all!
